It hasn't all been a party this week however. I made a promise to myself last week that I wasn't going to skip out on my training runs anymore and I haven't. I was busy all week but I ran every single scheduled run. I woke up early, bundled up to stay warm, I did the work and it paid off. Saturdays are my designated "long" day and I was a little nervous this Saturday. I haven't been able to find my pace yet this season and my legs just feel heavy and sore on every run. After signing up for the Thanksgiving day Turkey Trot last week, I really feared I was an out of shape mess and wasn't going to be ready for a 10k. This Saturday's long run had me all smiles though. I was able to maintain a steady pace after warming up and I felt like I could have run all day! No soreness, not aching calves, nothing but comfort and happy running.
To top it all off, I received a very exciting email this week! I'm happy to announce I am now a.....
